My short letter to a friend looking for love

If you’re already tired of looking for it and you just want a quick “how to”, you’re in the right place.

My quick and best advice is to stop looking for love and start looking AT love.

See, you got a little bit tricked at times. You were probably taught to love your family because that is where the love was supposed to be. Then, there were times when what you have seen in your family looked nothing or everything like love so you started promising yourself that you will find the right partner and have all the love that you did not have or if you did, you copied exactly the same recipe because it’s proven and it works.

You and your creative mind know better what happened after. For now, come with me and let’s look AT love.

Step 1: Start by looking in the mirror. Yes, you are one of the most beautiful forms that love has taken and luckily you are not alone. There are plenty of raw love forms all around you. Some of them are even waiting for you to mold them into whatever you want to see. Remember… your goals and dreams, what you want to see in the world?

That’s about it with the step counting and I will go a little deeper into what my experience of love is.

You see, love is more than a projected idea. It doesn’t even have anything to do with emotions. It is a state of oneness, an aliveness that you experience often times when you are what you love and other times when you do what you love.

Love has more depth than our small brains will ever be able to understand. Maybe because it doesn’t need to be understood. It can be simply looked at, seen and acknowledged through our senses. It can be freed through every single cell of our bodies and received by everything and everyone that is open to receive.

Look at the forms of love around you: look at the trees, the flowers, the blue waters, look deep within your soul, look at the love in the stars or in the eyes of a person that you see randomly on the streets.

Look with the knowing that there is nothing you can ever do for love to be less than what is. Open your soul and just look at it, it’s right there in front of you, surrounding you, embracing your whole being.

It is you and you are all of it!

How can you look for something that was never lost, never damaged and always there, patiently waiting for you to look at?
